Every time when I get an email notification from Disqus about new comments, I always feel happy and cheered. However...
I don't get many comments, the truth is the comments-over-post ratio is pretty low. (But I will not trade the commenting quality for quantity) So, this always punches me after I read the first line.
But hey, at least Disqus still does a great job, it does not let any spams slip into my blog. I don't need to worry readers read this spam comment which is written by a poor person who needs to spam others' website in order to get traffic.

But you totally deserves more comments ;D
ReplyDeleteThank you for letting me know and improving the ratio a bit! :)
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I shouldnt post about it, but I was feeling like 5617 at that time. When that happens, I usually post stuff pretty short and things with ramblings.
Too bad spammers dont write anything interesting! You can always disable the spam notifications.
ReplyDeleteI like the click to load comments button. Neat. Disqus should make a feature for that.
ReplyDeleteThese days I can detect spam just by how the comment is worded.
ReplyDeleteI dont get many comments either, but the ones I do get are good.
ReplyDeleteMy site is about tech, video games, rc, and beyond.
My website is Techmans World. techmansworld.blogspot.com
Well, I would prefer reading spams instead of being unaware of them.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, they are bad, cant believe that I am going to say this, they still reflect a tiny bit of your websites value. They have to find your websites address, even its by bots. This tells you that your website has some sort of exposure on the Internet. Just remotely insignificant, nonetheless, the value is > 0.
That button was actually a resolution to 6.4 seconds page loading time. I never saw it as a feature, but now I am.
ReplyDeleteTo be perfectly honest, I dont appreciate a comment like this of of yours. The trigger line is the last one, which is with the link to your blog.
ReplyDeleteIt is relevant, I cant deny it. Its not a spam, no doubt about that. But it reads more or less like a comment with opportunity of exposing your blog, it takes an advantage. Or, abusing, if someone is extreme, which I dont go that far to describe your comment.
When you stop at your second line, you actually have no need to worry if someone wants to visit your blog, because there is already a direct link with your name, next to your avatar.
